We are on the cusp of “Back to School Season” in our house. My daughter will be in PreK4 and my son is starting Kindergarten! School wardrobes are starting to form! Our kids are not required to wear uniforms, which means that I can make them fun and stylish clothing that they feel comfortable in for school!
We live in South Louisiana where it is still very steamy and hot (and likely will be until December!). Our back to school wardrobes consist of sleeveless tops, tanks, shorts, skirts and dresses! I am all about getting the most of the patterns in my collection and I love when I can make a sleeveless top or dress and pair it with a cardigan for later in the year! Blaverry’s Vivie is the perfect start! The dress also pairs nicely with Emily Ann cardigan, although it was much to hot to think about putting it on during our photo shoot!
I love Vivie’s classic style; it reminds me of something out of Leave It To Beaver, but with a modern twist! It features inseam pockets, a gathered skirt, collar and button placket. You can also use snaps if you prefer!
It was my first time sewing this pattern and it went together easily! The pattern pieces and measurements are very precise, which makes for a professional looking finished product! The nested pattern pieces make blending sizes a breeze and saves on ink and paper!
My daughter loves items I make for her, especially when she can help with the design. She asked to put this on right away and wore it for two days straight (we washed in between because of spills!).
The newly redesigned Vivie features 3 sleeve lengths, clickable table of contents, updated pattern pieces and finished measurements for easier blending of sizes.
Head on over to Blaverry to grab your copy today and don’t forget to share your Vivie with us on the Blaverry Facebook Page! You can also check out some of the other Vivie dresses for this promotion on these blogs!
