I love celebrating new beginnings!  I can’t tell you how excited I was to test the debut collection for Petite Stitchery & Co.  Today is their opening day!!  Petite Stitchery will release new patterns in collections throughout the year.  Here’s a look at two of the items in their Fall collection.

Sparrow is an amazing peplum top.  It has a peter pan collar and single button closure in the back.  The bodice is fully lined.  The skirt comes in various lengths: peplum, tunic and hi-low.  Featured here is the high-low skirt.

The sleeves feature an elasticized bottom at the wrist and a slightly gathered shoulder.

One of my favorite colors in my solid stash is this Dark Teal cotton lycra from Peekaboo Fabric Shop.  It is a perfect coordinate for the Art Gallery print for her leggings!

Her leggings are the Fawn Leggings.  The pattern includes simple leggings or a super cute and unique tuxedo stripe.

I made these all of out cotton lycra (Art Gallery for the print and mustard solid from Peekaboo Fabric Shop for the tuxedo stripe).

However, the tuxedo stripe can also be made out of woven or fabric with less stretch.  For Halloween I used faux stretch leather from Hobby Lobby for her Wednesday Addams costume.rue2016-4

So check out their Facebook page for the details on all of the patterns in the debut collection!   We are super excited for their new company and for many more beautiful patterns to come!
