Who’s ready for Summer?

Honestly, I’m not!  It gets so hot here in South Louisiana…and it’s not the heat so much as it is the humidity.  But, we love it here and so we dress accordingly!

Simple Life Pattern Company has done something amazing!  She paired up with Caroline Hulse from Sew Caroline and together they upsized and downsized some of each other’s most popular patterns.  Now they have an entire line of incredible Mommy and Me patterns!

I was lucky to test the girls Waterfall Tank and Magnolia Shorts.  Both of these are perfect for warm summer days!

The Waterfall Tank features tie or fixed straps and a flounce front.  I used a thin Swiss Dot fabric which had a great drape. Quilting cotton, chambray, linen and voile are all perfect fabric choices.  You can also try this in knit, but it is recommended that you size down for this option.  This girly tank is a great scrap buster too!

My little Rue is very active – the Magnolia Shorts provide lots of coverage and still allow her to run, skip and climb with ease!  These look great paired with the Waterfall and also with Cami’s Tank (a free SLPco pattern) or a basic tee.   The shorts feature a woven or knit waistband.  They are so fast to sew up; you’ll make an entire collection in no time!

Simple Life Pattern Company has the Mommy & Me bundles available or the girls patterns sold separately.  Sew Caroline also has the bundles and has the Ladies patterns sold separately.

Be sure to check out the entire Collaboration Collection.  These patterns are perfect for all of your summer fun!
